The CompleteSMS Auto-Reply feature helps businesses stay responsive even when their team is unavailable. Automatically send personalized SMS responses to incoming messages, reduce customer uncertainty, and improve communication without needing to manually reply to every text. This quick tutorial walks you through how to create, schedule, and manage auto-replies inside the CompleteSMS platform.

Never leave a customer wondering if their message was received.
With CompleteSMS auto-replies, you can instantly acknowledge incoming messages, reduce uncertainty, and keep conversations moving even when your team can’t reply immediately.
To get started:
- Head into your CompleteSMS settings and open Auto-replies.
- Click on Add auto-reply.
- Write your outgoing message. Tailor it to fit your business, your team, and your customers. Keep it short, friendly, and reassuring so customers know their message has been received.
- Select the start and end dates, down to the minute.Once you’re happy, click Create.
You can set up multiple auto-replies, one for now, some for later. And when those dates come around, that’s the message that will automatically be sent unless you deactivate it with the toggle.
To avoid auto-reply overload, each incoming number or contact will only receive one auto-reply per day.
And as an administrator, you can see who has an auto-reply set by the auto-reply icon on the user list.
